Social conflict might boost Chilean e-commerce, CNC

Despite the slowdown in e-commerce in Q4 of 2019, which increased 16% after having grown 29.8% in Q3, the Chilean Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CNC) estimates that the level of growth will return to the levels achieved before October. The very same situation of social conflict has caused many companies to “hurry up their strategy to enter the online world, because it facilitates purchases when physical commerce is impeded,” said CNC studies manager Bernardita Silva. Chile is positioned above the average e-commerce in Latin America, which reaches 3.5% of sales.
