Engie Chile secures land concession for 320 MW of renewables

Engie Energia Chile SA has been awarded a land concession to develop up to 320 MW of renewable energy projects. The power company secured a 2,347-hectare (5,799.5 acres) piece of land in the Tal-Tal commune, Antofagasta region, in a tender organised by the Chilean ministry of national assets. Engie Chile plans to develop around 1 GW as it closes its coal-based power plants in the coming years.
