Treasury denies investment of US $600 million in improvement of F-16 aircraft

The Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, denied that the Government had invested US$600 million in an upgrade plan for its F-16 aircraft, ensuring that the project was not approved and that it was postponed spending due to the pandemic. The Secretary of State responded to a statement by the United States Department of State, which indicated that the U.S. had approved a possible foreign military sale to the Chilean Government.
