Copper soars 2.68% on the London Metal Exchange

Copper soared 2.68% on the London Metal Exchange and closed at its highest level since June 2018, surpassing $3 a pound for the first time in more than two years. The red metal, Chile’s main export product, ended today’s session at $3,0241 per pound, compared to $2,9449 yesterday. This is the highest value of the commodity since June 2018, when it traded at $3,0334.
