Chilean manufacturing decreased by 7.2% in July

Manufacturing in Chile fell 7.2% in July due to a decline in food processing amid the impact of the pandemic, according to the government. The National Institute of Statistics (INE) also reported that copper production fell 4.6% year-on-year to 467,913 tons in July. With this figure, the extraction of the metal accumulated a rise of 1.6% between January and July, to 3.3 million tons.
