Movistar Chile to sell 1.9GHz concession following court ruling

Movistar Chile (Telefonica) is about to launch a new private tender to sell part of its mobile spectrum rights over two years after the Supreme Court first ordered the company to return the concession, reports Diario Financiero. The operator will put up for sale a 10MHz block in the 1.9GH to comply with the Supreme Court’s final ruling of October 2019 ordering Movistar as well as rivals Claro (America Movil) and Entel to return excess spectrum secured in the 700MHz band tender in 2014.
