Acciona starts building $170 mn 238-MWp PV complex in Chile

Acciona SA has started building the 238-MWp Malgarida I and II solar photovoltaic (PV) complex in Chile. The company is set to invest $170 million in what will be its seventh renewable energy project in Chile. Scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2021, the Malgarida complex will be capable of generating some 654 GWh of power annually, while avoiding the emission of 512.000 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year.
