Enel Green Power Chile (EGP) and Chilean power utility AME are planning to build the first green hydrogen production facility in Chile. The companies said in a statement the pilot project would be the country’s first venture into hydrogen and one of the largest of its kind in Latin America. Fuel will be produced through an electrolyzer powered by wind energy in Cabo Negro, in the Magallanes Region. The project is set to start production in 2022.

Copper increased 0.2% due to risk of strike at mine in Chile
Copper rose by 0.2% at $6,538 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME). This result comes after concerns over a possible strike in Chile. Prices remained vulnerable to higher inventories and signs of weak demand.
