60 thousand health workers in Chile go on strike

Today, around 60,000 health care workers in Chile began a national strike for an indefinite period of time after eight months of negotiations with the authorities without a response to their demands. The National Federation of Health Workers (Fenats) said that the strike is not only aimed at recognizing their rights but also at increasing the reduced budget for 2021, since 80% of Chileans receive care through the public system.
