Chilean carriers estimate they will operate between 40% and 80% of their total capacity

The main executives of LATAM Airlines, SKY Airlines and JetSmart met at a conference at the Business Travel Expo, where they talked about their perspectives and plans for 2021. LATAM airlines estimates that it will be operating close to 40% of its total capacity by the end of 2020. SKY Airlines expect to close the year operating at 80% of its total capacity. While Jetsmart estimated to operate in December between 60% to 65% of its capacity in the domestic market and between 15% to 20% in the international market.

Chilean fresh fruit exports decrease 5% from January through October 2020

Chile exported a total 2.39m tonnes of fresh fruit from January through October 2020, a 5% decrease year on year. Value was also impacted in the first ten months of 2020, dropping by 10% to $4.14 billion. Chile’s fruit exports were led by table grapes with approximately 700,000 tonnes shipped which has decreased 7% in volume and a 17% in value, compared to the same period last year. The US and China were the two biggest destinations.

Copper set for best month in 4 years due to robust China manufacturing data

London copper is on track for its best monthly gain in four years, as top consumer China posted upbeat manufacturing growth. Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) rose 1.5% to $7,608 tonne, up 13.3% on a monthly basis. The most-traded January copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange climbed as much as 2.8% to 57,180 yuan ($8,694.20) a tonne, a level unseen since December 2017.

Chilean firm recruits ethical hackers to discover vulnerabilities of clients

Vulnscope is a Chilean company that recruits ethical hackers to look for vulnerabilities in companies that decide to hire its services. According to its founder and general manager, Francisco Correa, the company serves around 85 companies (which include Entel and Coopeuch). Hackers earn money for each insecurity they find, according to the recommendations offered by companies. There is also a ranking of hackers that gives more points to those who find the most fragile systems.
