Chilean salmon & trout exports could drop by 15.4% due to lack of air cargo space in 2021

In Chile, a lack of air cargo space could translate to a 15.4% drop in salmon and trout exports in 2021. In terms of numbers, that translates at about 130,000 metric tons-140,000t of fresh fish trimmed off Chile’s exports. In the penultimate week of 2020, the average price that US buyers pay for Chilean salmon is set to rise.
