Chilean Blueberry Committee projecting 111,500 tons of blueberry exports

Strong promotable volumes of Chilean blueberries are expected to be available in January and February. According to Karen Brux, from the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association of North America, The Chilean Blueberry Committee is projecting 111,500 tons of total fresh blueberry exports which is 2% higher than last season. Despite this slight increase, the current volumes exported are lower than this time last year due to a slower maturation of the berries caused by cooler temperatures.
