The Superintendence of Pensions delivered a new balance sheet of the second withdrawal of 10% of the AFPs, revealing that more than 3 million people have been left without pension savings in their mandatory individual capitalization accounts. Between the first and second processes, the Chilean pension system has so far paid out resources totalling $31,349 million.
Chile's unemployment rate decreased to 10.8% between September and November, according to the government. Copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed with a strong rise of 2.29% on Monday and continues to show a positive scenario for the main Chilean export. The red metal traded in the international market for $3.59177 a pound counted "grade A".
Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd will add 40 MWp of solar farms to its Chilean portfolio after arranging the acquisition with Italian peer Building Energy Andes SpA. Sonnedix has finalised the purchase of four plants totalling 19 MWp and operating since 2018. Another four plants in the ready-to-build stage with a combined capacity of 21 MWp will change owners once they reach commercial operation in the coming months.
