6,000 farmers affected by frontal system

Due to the frontal system, 6,000 farmers have reported some damage to their crops, according to Jorge Valenzuela President of the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile (Fedefruta). One of the most affected fruit is the table grape. All the white mid-season varieties has problems ranging from 50%-100% because they split. Plums, peaches, blueberries in Ñuble and apple and pear orchards in Maule have also suffered damage.
