Copper at its highest value since May 2021

Copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed with a rise of 0.27%. The red metal traded at $3.82809 a pound. This is the highest value for the red metal since 1 May 2012, when it traded at $3.86824. One reason for the latest price increase is that closure restrictions in China mean that many people are not traveling and factories are busy.
