Imports of consumer goods rose 37% in February

Imports of consumer goods in February soared 37% year on year, posting their highest growth in the last 10 years, according to a report issued by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS). This completes three consecutive months of positive figures after poor results due to the pandemic, a situation that has been reversed due to the temporary increase in household incomes, the partial recovery of employment and improved business expectations of sales growth.
