Engie to supply renewable power to Chilean miner

Engie Energia Chile SA has signed a four-year agreement to supply 100% renewable power to mining company Cemin Holding Minero. The Chilean utility group will supply 1.48 GWh of certified green electricity per year to meet the demand of the underground gold mine and processing plant Minera Pullalli, located in La Ligua, the Valparaiso region. Thanks to the agreement, the Pullalli operations stand to avoid the annual emission of approximately 1,090 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2).
