In March, 22.4% of workers carried out work remotely or under the modality of teleworking. This type of work is concentrated among workers in the Information and Communications (81.8%), Education (75.9%), Electricity and Gas Supply (51.5%) and Financial and Insurance Activities (49.6%) sectors. This is according to the complementary bulletin COVID-19 of the Remuneration and Labour Cost Survey, from December 2020-March 2021, published by the National Institute of Statistics.
94% of Chileans have bought a product or service online in the last 6 months, according to a study (Radiography of eCommerce) prepared by by GfK and Mercado Libre. This is 11 percentage points higher when compared to the results of the same study in 2019. People between the ages of 25-36 and those between the ages of 45-64 are the ones who most acquire products or services through the internet.
Lithium Chile Inc. announced that it has added an Argentinian lithium salar property to its portfolio by entering into a binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with SMG S.R.L. of Jujuy, Argentina. The LOI enables Lithium Chile to earn up to an 80% interest in the 233 Sq Km Salar De Arizaro located in Salta Province, Argentina. The LOI also gives Lithium Chile the opportunity to earn a large and dominant land position in the centre of the largest undeveloped salar in Argentina.
Appian Capital Advisory has agreed to sell its royalty interest in the Chile-based Caserones copper mine to Nomad Royalty. Under the deal, Appian will sell a 0.28% net smelter return royalty on the Caserones mine, which is operated by Minera Lumina Copper Chile. The deal consideration includes $23m in cash to Appian, as well as two million common share purchase warrants of Nomad.
Bastion Minerals has wrapped up a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey at its Cometa Copper Project in northern Chile. After processing and interpreting 1330-line kilometres of data from the survey, Bastion identified multiple high-priority copper targets. This work highlights large-scale alteration zones that are associated with existing high-grade copper surface samples. The company will refine the data from the newly discovered targets to help to identify more targets for future field work.
